Dubbo (Delroy)

Dubbo Golf Club’s 27-hole golf complex lies close to the meandering Macquarie River, with Golf Links Creek running through the property. As there’s so much water around, it’s no surprise to discover there’s a bit of an aquatic theme to playing holes 10 to 18.

Holes 1 to 18 comprise the original Delroy course which was designed by Carnegie Clark, though some holes on the newer 9-hole layout (added in the mid-1990s) are incorporated into a composite 18-hole layout for pro-ams and other events.

Highlights on the Delroy include the right doglegging par four 2nd; the shortest of five par threes on the card at the 135-metre 5th; and the left bending par five 16th which plays to a heavily sand-protected green that’s defended by five bunkers.

World Top 100 Golf Courses

The latest ranking of the Top 100 Golf Courses in the World serves as the ultimate global golf bucket list. Most members of our World Top 100 Panel are seasoned golfers, each playing 20-30 of these courses annually while travelling extensively over decades to form their opinions on others. We recognise that opinions vary—even among our panel members. Rankings are subjective, and there are undoubtedly 50 or more courses in the UK and USA alone that could easily fit onto this list.
