William G Robinson spent sixteen years in partnership with renowned architect Geoffrey Cornish during the 1960s and 70s before branching out on his own, opening offices in Calgary and White Rock then moving to Florence, Oregon in 1989.
During a long architectural career, Robinson was involved in a number of projects in Alberta and British Columbia, including Cougar Creek, Links at Spruce Grove, Lewis Estates, Cordova Bay, Gallagher’s Canyon and here at Eagle Ranch.
Situated in the East Kootenay district, hidden between the Rocky and Purcell Mountains, Robinson’s 18-hole layout at Eagle Ranch Golf Resort overlooks Lake Windermere, the Columbia Wetlands and the small town of Invermere.
The course extends to a reasonable 6,646 yards (par 72) with fairways woven into the Columbia Valley landscape, winding past wandering creeks and small ravines in a very picturesque setting.
