Whilst on business in Bangalore recently I took the opportunity to visit the Eagleton resort. The course itself is good and very good in places; only last month the course hosted the Ladies European Tour; Laura Davies et al. Most of the par 4's and 5's have generous fairways so that suited me fine but the greens are the main problem. All with deft undulations that really make putting a challenge. There are parts of the course that reminded me of Spain and Portugal and for a country that is on the up in the golfing world, there is nothing wrong with that. There are many water featured holes especially the par3's but my favorite hole came after a welcome stop at the on-course cafeteria; the par-5 13th, with water in play both left and right off of tee - very nervous shot indeed. My overall feeling that this is a course that will be very popular with business visitors to Bangalore city and I would recommend the course to all golfers and the prices are so low compared to elsewhere.
