East Devon is the gem of the south Devon coast for sure. The quality is better on the north coast but the green fees are higher, so you make your choice based on the breadth of your wallet. East Devon is the more expensive of the traditional south Devon clubs but it’s by far the best. I have no idea as to why the course has not appeared on some of the Top 100 lists of the glossy mags because it is far better than some of the modern crap they include. East Devon is a friendly club with quality turf, well design holes, stunning views and wonderful changes in elevation. I’d rather play here than Ferndown, Parkstone and Broadstone any day. Believe me, East Devon is just as good, if not better and you can get a summer twilight round for £22! Bargain of the century.
