The course at Edese Golf Club Papendal is located in the wooded and hilly landscape of the southern Veluwezoom, just outside Arnhem, where an 18-hole layout has operated since 1993. The first nine holes were designed by Frank Pennink, with Frank Pont adding the other holes.
Today, the course extends to just over 6,000 metres from the back markers, playing to a par of 71 (35 out then 36 in), with holes set out as two returning nines, each of which concludes with a testing par five played back towards the clubhouse.
Highlight holes include short par fours at the 310-metre 2nd and 284-metre 13th, along with the par three 8th and par five 10th which share the same large double green. The par four 17th is another feature hole (rated stroke index 7), doglegging left from tee to green.
