El Plantío

Occupying a rather constricted 110-acre property close to Alicante airport, the course at El Plantío Golf Resort has operated since 1993. Water hazards come into play from time to time, most notably on the par fours at the 10th and 17th.

Extending to 6,200 metres from the back tees, the course plays to a par of 72, with holes arranged as two returning 9-hole circuits, both of which conclude with a par three next to the clubhouse.

Highlight holes include the left doglegging par four 1st (with out of bounds to the right of the fairway and water to the left of the green), along with the par three 9th which features a long, snaking bunker in front of the green.

On the inward half, apart from the two tough par fours at #10 and #17, notable holes include par fives at #12 and #15 which both bend left from tee to green, and the 182-metre 18th, where a birdie’s possible if you avoid the bunker to the front left of the home green.
