Well worth playing – the course starts with some familiar looking Spanish holes with umbrella pines all around. After playing the par-3 4th it is all change and off to a different world – links golf that makes you feel anywhere but Spain. The three holes; 5th to the 7th run parallel to each other and although not links holes that you see in Scotland or Ireland are a welcome change. The 8th is a par-4 running along the coast and my favourite hole on the course but the par-3 9th is not far behind either – plenty of good looking dunes all around this part of the course. A lot of the back nine is back amongst the trees and there are some decent holes (the 16th is a little ordinary though). The 18th is great finish with an inviting drive with the sea not far away on the right. I am sure that most golfers will enjoy the course at El Saler.
