Elisefarm is a beautiful resort with a fine hotel and a great golf course. The course is layed-out as an inland links and has plenty of character especially from the white tees. When I played Elisefarm in July, fairways and greens were firm and bouncy, as they should be on a links style track. Bunkering is done very well, with fairway bunkers marked out by waving fescue. Green complexes are excellent. Maintenace is not top notch though, which is a pity. Green surrounds don’t have the smoothness you would expect to give the course a true links feel. The rough looks scrappy at places and water hazards could need a bit more attention. Weakest point in my view is the finishing hole. It is a short par 4 and the second shot has to be hit to a green surrounded by water and bushes. The margin of error is very small and the hole is to penalizing to serve as a fair end to a round of golf.
