Elm Ridge North
Elm Ridge Country Club dates back to 1924 but the club moved from Dorval to its present location on the Ile Bizard in the late 1950s, where members now have the use of two 18-hole layouts, the South and the North.
The North plays slightly longer than the adjacent South, extending to almost 7,000 yards from the back tees. Both layouts play to a par of 72, each of then configured with two returning nines. Water only comes into play at a couple of holes: at the par four 11th (with a pond to the left of the green) then the 416-yard 18th, where ponds lie either side of the fairway after it turns left towards the home green.
Highlight holes on the North course include both the heavily sand-protected par threes on the front nine at the 3rd and 6th, along with the longest par four on the card at the 455-yard 16th, rated stroke index 2 and a beast of a two-shotter to encounter so late in the round.
