This a very quirky course with its Martello Towers lining the North Sea frontage and making it an atmospheric place to play golf. Bernard Darwin played here back in the day and I can see why he had such fond memories. Again a very stiff breeze affected every shot but once you get used to it, its "nae sae bad". The outward 9 was excellent with some very cool holes testing your shotmaking. It was suprisingly undulating too. Part of the course was closed when I visited but I would return on a less windy day to make a more thorough inspection. Kudos to the pro-shop who freely gave their advice.
