Excellence in the Paris area.

Played a few courses for the first time in 2024, but Fontainbleau was easily my favourite / the “best”.

Paris has some very good golf - Morfontaine stands alone at the top,of the tree, but not too far behind is the course at Fontainebleau.

What a great course this is.

A magical place.

Last week, I’ve been lucky to play in Fontainebleau

Cold and dry winter weather, but still enjoyable

Course was in very good conditions, perfect rolling greens, a real pleasure to walk these sandy fairways

As a Tom Simpson fan, you won’t be surprised to read that I loved the course.

As part of a stint to Paris to play golf (12h drive), we had this one eyed out.

It was immediately obvious to me that this is a world-class course.

I think this is a course like a lot of woodland courses that gains its reputation from its past rather than where it actually is in the current scheme of things.

We played this course during the Ryder Cup weekend.
