Forest Pines Golf Club – A Shadow of What It Once Was

Forest Pines is a place I’ve always held in high regard, a course with the bones of something genuinely special.

Very picturesque course especially when played in the Autumn and as the name suggests it's tree lined and very tight with accuracy an absolute must both off the tee and approaches to the greens.

Very tight with wayward shots punished by the tall, dense pine trees.

Is there better value anywhere than the £25 twilight rate here?

Heard nothing but good things about this place and we took a visit 1st October last year and it wasn't as good as I expected to be.

The Forest and Pines are a stern test, with fairways a little softer after the early spring week of rain did not provide for too much run and hence the course played it’s full length.

Amazing place for a game of golf , the tall trees make this course so picturesque.

I think that this is a very good course in Scunthorpe.

I must confess to being mildly underwhelmed by the prospect of my Friday afternoon tee time at Forest Pines.

Three loops of nine is what Forest Pines is about.
