Today, the course extends to 6,300 metres from the championship tees, playing to a par of 72. Water hazards in the form of small ponds come into play around some of the greens – as happens at the short par four 3rd, the par five 4th and par four 15th (rated stroke index 1 on the scorecard).
Highlight holes include the left doglegged par five 4th (where a ditch snakes along the left side of the fairway before opening out into a greenside pond); the par four 12th (veering right past two small ponds to a bunkerless green); and the tough par four 18th which sweeps left to a heavily sand-protected home green.
