Nestled in the rolling hills of Westchester county, the club has a golfing connection that goes back more than a hundred years to the start of the 20th century, when the property was owned by Harold T. White, whose wife Ruth Underhill won the fifth edition of the U.S. Women’s Amateur in 1899 at Philadelphia Country Club's Bala course, which no longer exists. The trophy she won is proudly displayed in the GlenArbor clubhouse.
