Review for Gleneagles (King's)

Reviewer Score:

Played the Kings 23/9/10 after playing the Carrick in the morning. Both courses had torrential rain the night before. After swimming my our way round the Carrick we called Gleneagles to check the course was open and we were informed that it was very wet underfoot but open. When we arrived at Gleneagles I was amazed to how good condition the course was in, it was like we were in a different country. I cant really fault this course, it was stunning. Despite being far from my best I loved every minute of this round. I found myself laughing on the majority of the tees because of the stunning but quirky nature of the holes that were unfolding in front of me. There were a number of blind shots and I think to get the most out of the King's you would need to go back and play it several times. Its safe to say the course won (none of our 4 ball scored more than 25 points) but I would love to go back and get another crack at it
