Played early June first out on a glorious sunny day. The variety of holes breathtaking, take the first five. Uphill par 4 intimidating second shot to plateau greens with a ferocious bunker in wait to gobble up anything short. Long par 4 second dogleg left. Third real old fashion hole second shot blind over an intimidating mound with a two tiered green on the other side. Fourth uphill par 4 will only be reached by the longest of hitter. Fifth one of the best par 3's I've ever played , less than 170 yards off whites . Green perched up high with four daunting greenside. Miss the dance floor and a big number the likely consequence. IF anything the course just gets better and better with a delightful halfway house (to rival Sunningdales or Wentworths) on the 10'th. It really must of been Braids masterpiece and in my opinion the worlds finest moorland course.
