Opened in 2011 within a gated community, the course at Goiânia Golfe Clube is architect Dan Blankenship's first Brazilian Midwest project and this 18-hole layout is complemented by one of the best driving ranges in the country along with tennis courts and even football pitches.
The par 72 layout stretches to a substantial 6,600 yards from the tips, but four tee positions provide options for golfers of all abilities. Two lakes feature on the card, especially at the par three 13th which is virtually an island with some room behind the green for those that choose to bail out long.
Unusual design features to be found on the layout – which can be verified via google maps from above – are long, narrow snaking waste bunkers that run alongside several of the holes, with one of these sand hazards turning into the fairway in front of the green.
