Seolhaewon (Salmon & Seaview)
Yangyang, Gangwon-do- AddressSouth Korea, Gangwon-do, Yangyang, Sonyang-myeon, Gonghang-ro, 230 KR
Opened in 2006, Seolhaewon Resort, formerly Golden Beach Golf Resort, is set close to Yangyang International airport, in the northeast of Korea. The resort’s original 27-hole layout was hewn from a pine forest, with the Salmon and Riverview nines comprising the 18-hole layout of first choice.
The Salmon nine is named after the migrating fish that use the nearby river to return to their place of birth for spawning and the Seaview nine is set at the highest part of the property, offering magnificent views out along the East Sea coast.
Impeccably and meticulously maintained, with greens cut to 3.0mm, tees at 14mm and fairways at 18 mm, the Salmon, Seaview and Pine nines have recently been augmented with an additional 18-hole layout.
