Golfstar Brollsta
Located less than an hour’s drive northeast of Stockholm city centre, the course at Golfstar Brollsta extends to 6,300 metres from the back tees, with holes laid out as two returning nines. The outward half is quite open while then the inward half is more woodland in character. Greens are hard and fast, with many of them raised above fairway level.
Highlight holes include the first of the par threes at the 160-metre 6th, where a long, narrow pond protects the left side of the green. The 560-metre par five 9th doglegs right from tee to green, skirting round Lake Hundsjön, whichseparates the 9th hole from the 18th in front of the clubhouse.
On the back nine, the 155-metre 13th is a potentially treacherous par three, with the green positioned immediately behind a rather imposing pond – and there are more aquatic obstacles to overcome at the following two holes (rated stroke index 3 and 1), with sizeable water hazards positioned close to the putting surface on both these par fours.
