What an amazing experience. The location being in the middle of a national forest automatically sets the scene. The Goodwood estate is like an adults playground. There is a spa, hotel, equestrian facilities, horse racing and of course famous for its link with motor racing and naturally the amazing golf course and club house. Probably to most novel part of the day was the quirky golf carts which are designed that look more like an old motor car. The course is just stunning. The first is a fairly modest par three but you then head over the road to start a run of amazing holes cut through the valley presenting some impressive views over the countryside. The other unique factor was the Goodwood breakfast club which is a motor racing club that meet regularly at godward was meeting the morning we played and as we worked our way around the course you got the roar of various super cars making their way to the meet. Course condition was first class, the service first class, the venue first class.

The latest ranking of the Top 100 Golf Courses in the World serves as the ultimate global golf bucket list. Most members of our World Top 100 Panel are seasoned golfers, each playing 20-30 of these courses annually while travelling extensively over decades to form their opinions on others. We recognise that opinions vary—even among our panel members. Rankings are subjective, and there are undoubtedly 50 or more courses in the UK and USA alone that could easily fit onto this list.
