Review for Gorleston

Reviewer Score:

This course is a in very good condition when played earlier this week. The greens ran quick and true and the fairways were also in excellent condition. A slight complaint would be the bunkers which varied in sand depth. The course features a loverly run of holes along the cliffs with great views over the north sea. In my opinion the varied par 4's are the strength of the course, a couple of short drivable holes and a couple of very long holes make a fine mix. The par 3's are tough with the 7th being a case in point with the green sitting by the edge of the cliffs and the prevailing wind trying to push the golf ball out to sea.

This course appears to be undergoing a fair bit of drainage and other improvement works which will only enhance the golfing experience. I really hope Gorleston starts to appear in peoples consciousness as it is certainly worth a trip to play if visiting the area.
