Review for Gosnells

Reviewer Score:

Tight and short are great ways describe Gosnells. On paper you get a false sense on security that you will come away with a decent score, this soon changes on the 1st, a shortish par 4, that has more sand than the Sahara desert. Every bunker is within range of each club you might choose. Once you walk away at your tail between your legs Gosnells Golf Course - Photo by reviewer you realise that a good golfing experience will be had.

Gosnells serves up good golf holes, never too long and lots of par three in the mix but don't be fooled they each present a challenge. The greens could be better but overall the course has it all. I liked the par three 9th, uphill and depending on the time of year water on your left, a decent shot is a must as the hidden bunker can suck you ball like a magnet.

The over hill 10th is a tricky par four that requires two decent shots to be on or around the green. The 16th, 17th and 18th are a great combination of holes that each tests a golfer in their own ways. 16th is a dogleg par 4 that requires an accurate tee shot. The 17 another par 4 is straight up hill with perfectly placed trees to block what you think is a decent drive and finishing is a par 5 that requires well positioned shots to be on a tricked up green, with water to the front right (depending on the time of year).

Any golfing trip to Perth should include a cheeky round at Gosnells.
