The course extends to 5,885 metres from the back markers, though it can play as short as 4774 metres from the forward tees. Holes are laid out as two returning nines, with par set at 72. Water comes into play early on at the 1st and the 2nd, where an irregularly- shaped pond protects the green on both holes. There’s another large water hazard to look out for to the right of the fairway on the 8th, and a ditch cuts diagonally across the fairway in front of the 18th green.
Highlight holes at Grevenmüle include the par four 7th (bunkers sit on either side of the fairway as it veers left to the green); the par three 9th (with a ditch running in front of the offset green); the par three 14th (played to a bunker-free green in the southeast corner of the property); and the left doglegging par four 18th which narrows considerably as it heads towards the home green.

The latest ranking of the Top 100 Golf Courses in the World serves as the ultimate global golf bucket list. Most members of our World Top 100 Panel are seasoned golfers, each playing 20-30 of these courses annually while travelling extensively over decades to form their opinions on others. We recognise that opinions vary—even among our panel members. Rankings are subjective, and there are undoubtedly 50 or more courses in the UK and USA alone that could easily fit onto this list.
