Greywolf is one of the best mountain golf courses in the world.
Greywolf is the perfect combination of mountain golf, but not too extreme with elevation changes and blind shots. Building a golf course in the Canadian Rockies is no small feat and Greywolf excels in all aspects of good architecture as well as beautiful scenery.
The first three holes work directly up the mountain with a steep elevation gain. The 4th and 5th have some wild tee shots straight down the hill where you can hit some of the longest drives of your life! Then you come to the signature hole and one of the best par 3s in the world.
The Cliffhanger 6th is a mid to long iron par 3 to a peninsula green with massive cliffs on all sides of the hole. It's an exhilarating tee shot and one you won't ever forget!
I personally enjoyed the front 9 a little more than the back, but the back still has some fantastic holes! The driveable par 4 11th is a great risk/reward hole. The 18th is a wonderful par 4 closer that requires two solid shots to hit the green.
Greywolf is the type of course I could play every day and not get bored. I'm very thankful we got to play 36 holes here and really experience the course.
