Falkenstein is an attractive golf course, which is routed in all directions of the compass. The wooded location provides a genteel oasis to play golf, away from the hustle and bustle of Hamburg’s city centre.

What a joy! Super playable, beautiful heathland landscape, slightly undulated. One of those old courses where modern technology makes it a bit short. Nonetheless, this is a pearl.
Almost every non-par three hole provides an aggressive or conservative solution off the tee. Take the big dog out at try to bully it, or plot yourself around via strong iron play - either way, Falkenstein is a lovely day out.
Very short driving range but with many targets and and lovely small small clubhouse.

The latest ranking of the Top 100 Golf Courses in the World serves as the ultimate global golf bucket list. Most members of our World Top 100 Panel are seasoned golfers, each playing 20-30 of these courses annually while travelling extensively over decades to form their opinions on others. We recognise that opinions vary—even among our panel members. Rankings are subjective, and there are undoubtedly 50 or more courses in the UK and USA alone that could easily fit onto this list.
