It’s says «rolling parkland» in the article above, I would probably describe it as “fairly hilly in places”, not necessarily bad as it leaves some interesting shots, and some healthy exercise. There are a number of fun holes to be experienced at Hauger. The short par four 2nd hole, a dogleg with a pretty little pond guarding the inside, for the long hitters it’s straight over the water and then a half wedge to the green to set up a birdie chance, however for the more cautious a tee shot away from the water should still only leave a short iron to the green. Then the 7th, a 190 meter long par three, nice little pond to the front of the green which is some 20 meters below the tee, always an interesting exercise of uncertainty when it comes to picking the right club, particularly in windy conditions. And then the monster 430 meter par four 13th, a proper belt is required, and if the drive is not quite perfect there are some bunkers guarding the front of the green, and on one side of the green it slopes down towards a scenic little brook, I’ve learned my lesson, good drive, go for it, not so great drive, lay up! Hauger is well bunkered, and offer in my opinion good variation of shots, so a good experience with some good exercise thrown in.
