I’m a big fan of Engh’s work and Hawktree is one of his best, although Tullymore for me is better. The course feels and looks so natural, poured over the landscape. The black crusty sand takes some getting use to but it creates another unusual feature which sticks in the memory. It’s true, the wind here is relentless so you’ll need a linksy game to play this unsung track well. One of my favourite and best value courses in the US.
