Hella
The Hella course located at Golfklubbur Hellu is set 15 miles away from the Icelandic coastline, however, despite being inland it has, in some places, the appearance like a links course. It was established with nine holes in 1952 The 18 holes that are that are currently in play date back to 1986 and are situated within Hella as well as Hvolsvollur.
The course is now extended up to 5,658m starting from back tees. playing up to a par 70. The holes are designed as two returning nines. A flowing creek winds through the course, and comes in play at a number of holes (#7 and #8 on the front nine, followed by #13 and #18 in the back 9). The layout overall is designed with five par threes and three fives. Additionally, there are two short par fours on the inside of the layout at 263 metres 10th and the 301-metre 12th.
The most notable holes are the doglegging par five on the right third (stroke index 2.) as well as the par 14th par four (stroke index one) that veers left from the tee and onto the green. The top of five par three holes on the scorecards is saved until the 149-metre 13th. the elevated green is located just to the right of the creek as it flows through the course - there's no bailout on the left, so tee shots need to be very precise if you want them to be dry.
