Hendon Golf Club

The club was established in 1903 and has been around since. Hendon Golf Club initially operated as a course designed by J.H. Taylor and Harry Vardon contributing. The land was also made available around the middle of 1920s which allowed John Morrison to design a updated layout and with Franks & Harrison and William Press creating 13 new holes and redesigning the other five holes.

The course is now extended to 6,227 yards from back markers. It plays up to a par of 70 (35 out, 35 in) The holes are laid out in two return nines, with the inner half of the course circling around the boundary of a small 95-acre parcel, which includes holes 1-9 within the middle of the course.

Highlights include the tough par fours on the 2nd (with an edging that crosses the fairway) and the 11th (with an approach downhill for the green) and two left-doglegging par fives on both the 9th and 10th and the shortest par threes, the 105-metre 9th, which is played to an extended, shallow offset green, with three bunkers in front and one to on the rear of the green's putting surface.
