Impian

The cheekily named Impian Golf & Country Club course is routed through part of a tropical, hardwood rainforest. According to architect, Ross Watson, “a very difficult site was turned into what is now a pleasant, playable course”.

First opening its doors to golfers in 1994, the 18-hole layout is set across a 142-acre estate where the fairways are set out in two returning loops, the Golden Nine and the Negara Nine. The longest hole on the scorecard is played on the front nine at the par five 5th, which double doglegs its way uphill across water to the green.

On the Negara nine, the signature hole appears at the short 3rd, hole number 12 on the scorecard. With a lake positioned to the front and left of the green, water has to be carried all the way when the pin is cut on the left, though a bail out to the right is always an option for the more cautious golfer.
