Infinitum Resort (Hills)
Within a large 750-acre resort on the Costa Dorada, you’ll find forty-five holes of seaside golf available for play at the Infinitum Resort. This comprises the two championship 18-hole layouts, named Hills and Lakes, and a 9-hole track called the Ruins.
The pine and olive tree-lined fairways of the Hills course are situated an hour’s drive to the south of Barcelona, close to the popular resort of Salou, and because they’re routed around a coastal bird sanctuary, golfers are never short of avian company within this wonderful Catalonian nature reserve.

You’ll find a fine quartet of par threes on the Hills course and the best of these short holes is probably the 195-metre 8th, which is fronted by water and surrounded by four rather large and menacing sand traps.
There’s also a scintillating set of long holes on the scorecard with both three-shotters on the front nine (at holes 2 and 7) doglegging to the left and the two par fives on the back nine (at holes 11 and 16) doglegging in the opposite direction to the right.
It was announced at the start of 2023 that Dave Sampson of European Golf Design was to oversee upgrade work on the Hills course, involving the removal of some bunkers, the construction of new back tees on the front nine, and the reversal of the direction of play on the 15th and 16th to improve safety. In addition, the home green was to be moved closer to the cliff that backdrops it, with the lake extended to wrap around this new putting surface.
World Top 100 Golf Courses
The latest ranking of the Top 100 Golf Courses in the World serves as the ultimate global golf bucket list. Most members of our World Top 100 Panel are seasoned golfers, each playing 20-30 of these courses annually while travelling extensively over decades to form their opinions on others. We recognise that opinions vary—even among our panel members. Rankings are subjective, and there are undoubtedly 50 or more courses in the UK and USA alone that could easily fit onto this list.
