Review for Isle of Purbeck (Purbeck)

Reviewer Score:

Played here on 16th July in glorious conditions with no wind at all. whilst playing very short (i didnt hit driver once), the course still requires some exact shots to have a good score. I have little to complain about when it comes to the condition of the course, the fairways were bare and ragged in places but this is what i would expect from a course such as this (much live Royal North Devon). The green were slow admittedly, very slow, but i found them to run fairly true with very few bobbles throughout the 36 holes i played.i've never been one to care much for a golf courses surroundings as i'd rather have a great course surrounded by a motorway than a poor course with great views. This is the exception however, you can see for miles and miles.great holes include, 2,4,8 and 11. There a little courses i can compare this with but in an attempt i would say its a mixture of East Devon and Royal North Devon.well worth a visit
