Isle of Purbeck Golf Club (Purbeck)

Isle of Purbeck was the final round of a trip packed with 9 great golf courses, and the one lowest ranked on this website.

The Purbeck course at the Isle of Purbeck has a slower start with only the second being an interesting hole.

Fantastic golf course to play.

Earlier this year I played in the swords open at the Isle of Purbeck.

My first time visit to Isle of Purbeck left me quite spellbound by the beautiful surroundings the course is laid across.

Played here 4 times I think over a couple of summers a few years back…Stunning scenery, real challenge, very firm ground and rapid quick greens.

As previously mentioned this course is getting better, firstly the layout is superb, the views are superb, and its one pf the UK s most fun courses, ok so its rustic golf which is no bad thing, if they could just get the greens and fairways looking a bit less scruffy then it would score higher.

I live in Poole about 30 mins away,having played this course a couple of times a year the last few years,always a great test of golf but the condition of the course was always a bit poor,bare fairways and very slow greens.
