Robert Trent Jones Jr. renovated the Jackson Hole Golf & Tennis Club course in 2007 when he redesigned the 1st and 15th holes, lengthened the layout by adding 20 new tees and installed a new state-of-the-art irrigation system.

The best thing about Jackson Hole Golf and Tennis Club's golf course is the fact that some of the holes play towards the Teton's and give views of possibly the most scenic mountain range in America.

Obviously, that has nothing to do with the quality of the course from a golfing/architecture point of view. You have two nines with 2 par 5s and 2 par 3s. Jackson Hole is a hard course to review because a good portion of the joy in playing it is because of the simply spectacular views of the Tetons.

I can’t even begin to describe those, and I would say they are worth the price of admission, but it’s not like you can’t see the mountains from pretty much everywhere else in the valley. Sometime courses benefit in being located near enough to a stunning off-course view that many simply give such courses a pass when it comes time to assess the core architecture.
