It was designed through an architect from the Nelson & Haworth partnership, the course is located at Jade Dragon Snow Mountain Golf Club was named the 9th most beautiful course worldwide by one golf magazine. It's a new millennium-early layout that's situated at 3,100 metres above sea-level, which makes this the most elevated course of Asia with an elevation of 8,548 yards. It's also said to be the largest layout with a par 72 anywhere in the world.
The course was featured as part of the Rolex World's Top 1000 golf courses and was edited to include the following excerpt:
"At this altitude, distances are reduced by 20percent due to the thinness the air. So 8 and half miles is equivalent to 6,400 yards or so and length becomes less of an issue than you imagine. But, players with high handicaps are advised to play off the more forward tees. This is especially true on the 5th hole, that at 711 yards is considered as the most long hole on the course!
The course truly is alive in the back nine, with the challenging doglegs, surrounded by pines of the mountain. In terms of being a completely unique golf course, Jade Dragon ranks up as one of the best."
