I should start saying that I had great expectations, given what I read about the course and considering also the quite expensive green fee,

Unfortunately I was a little disappointed for a number of reasons: first of all greens were not in great condition, not only because they were pretty slow, but also because they had a lot of pitch marks not repaired: unacceptable!

The closest you can get to playing directly on the ocean for 18 holes.

The Ocean Course lives up to the hype.

The Ocean Course at Kiawah is one of those special places in the world of golf that anyone with a deep appreciation of the game should experience.

Not sure what memory stands out the most, "War by the Shore", Rory dominating, or Phil overtaking Brooks to win the PGA at the age of 50, whatever memory serves you best until you walk these fairways you will never appreciate the land, design of Mr Pete Dye, and the beauty of the golf course.

If you ever want challenge plus scenic golf, this place is your dream.
