Occupying a sizeable 160-acre property, the 18-hole layout makes great strategic use of the river on the back nine at four of the holes: the 460-metre 11th doglegs right along a narrow fairway to a peninsula green; the 315-metre 12th plays to a green on the other side of the river; the 145-metre 16th has the water running along the left of the hole; and the 465-metre 17th features the river to the right of the fairway as it heads to another peninsula green.
Other notable holes on the font nine include the first of the par threes at the 150-metre 3rd (with a pond in front of the green); the tree-lined 345-metre 4th (rated stroke index 1) which veers sharply right to a long, bunkerless green; and the 300-metre 9th which narrows to an offset green with out of bounds close to the left side of the putting surface.
