Formed in 1964, Korsør Golf Klub has been the home club to thousands of Danish golfers for half a century now. As the club has developed down the years, so too have the golf facilities and members now enjoy the choice of playing the 18-hole Old course or the newer 9-hole Høneklint layout.
The golf complex is situated close to the East Bridge of the Great Belt Fixed Link, one of the largest and longest suspension bridges in the world, and golfers are afforded some mightily impressive views of this giant structure from several points on the course.
Fairways have been laid out across what was once a botanical garden, overlooking the beautiful saltwater bay of Korsør Nor, and they weave across a wooded landscape, skirting several natural lakes at the southern end of the property.
The par five 5th and par four 14th are two of the more memorable holes on the scorecard, and their fairways dogleg in opposite directions before running parallel towards adjacent greensites by the water’s edge.
The latest ranking of the Top 100 Golf Courses in the World serves as the ultimate global golf bucket list. Most members of our World Top 100 Panel are seasoned golfers, each playing 20-30 of these courses annually while travelling extensively over decades to form their opinions on others. We recognise that opinions vary—even among our panel members. Rankings are subjective, and there are undoubtedly 50 or more courses in the UK and USA alone that could easily fit onto this list.
