Kytäjä Golf is located close to the city of Hyvinkää, about a 30-minute drive north from Helsinki. Kytaja is certainly the most ambitious golf project to be undertaken in Finland. With two challenging courses and a third on the drawing board there is some seriously good golf to be played at Kytaja. All the courses at Kytaja are from the portfolio of the Canadian architect, Thomas McBroom and the South East course, which opened in 2003, was his inaugural Scandinavian design.
The South East course is currently considered to be the best layout at Kytäjä and it is set amidst the most delightful Finnish landscape. The front nine plays across undulating ground and through delightful woodland. The back nine plays across flatter terrain with some holes hugging the shore of lake Kytaja where there are breathtaking panoramic views to savour.
Visitors are warmly received at Kytäjä and the experience is thoroughly enjoyable.

The latest ranking of the Top 100 Golf Courses in the World serves as the ultimate global golf bucket list. Most members of our World Top 100 Panel are seasoned golfers, each playing 20-30 of these courses annually while travelling extensively over decades to form their opinions on others. We recognise that opinions vary—even among our panel members. Rankings are subjective, and there are undoubtedly 50 or more courses in the UK and USA alone that could easily fit onto this list.
