Landings Club (Palmetto)
Sharing a clubhouse with the Terrapin Point course, the 18-hole Palmetto layout at The Landings Club is one of two Arthur Hills designs at this golf complex. It was the 4th course to appear here in 1985 and it’s still rated the toughest.
In The American Private Golf Club Guide author Daniel Wexler summarizes his thoughts on the Palmetto course when he writes: “offering all the Arthur Hills pluses and minuses, it features two memorable stretches: holes 4–8 (which skirt the marshes) and the closers, beginning at the waterside par five 14th.”
World Top 100 Golf Courses
The latest ranking of the Top 100 Golf Courses in the World serves as the ultimate global golf bucket list. Most members of our World Top 100 Panel are seasoned golfers, each playing 20-30 of these courses annually while travelling extensively over decades to form their opinions on others. We recognise that opinions vary—even among our panel members. Rankings are subjective, and there are undoubtedly 50 or more courses in the UK and USA alone that could easily fit onto this list.
