Las Pinaillas

Opened for play in 2002, the course at Club de Golf Las Pinaillas is set out on the floodplain of the meandering Rio Júcar, to the north of Albacete, where Seve Ballesteros fashioned the fairways on the south bank of the river.

Occupying a site of around 125 acres, the course extends to 6,300 metres from the tips, playing to a par of 72, with holes arranged as two returning nines. Water hazards feature on several holes, most memorably with a trademark “S-shaped” pond by the 9th green.

Highlight holes include the left doglegging par five 4th (protected by a pond in front of the green) and the par four 6th which narrows to an adjacent green that’s also defended by another small water hazard to the left of the putting surface.

Other memorable holes on the back nine include the par five 11th and par three 12th (where ponds come into play around the green on both holes), along with the tough (stroke index 2) par four closing hole which veers slightly left to the home green.
