Le Touquet Golf Resort (La Mer)

Played twice this week (early March 2026) and was very impressed overall and would definitely come back again.

A Layout Let Down by Lackluster Condition

La Mer certainly boasts a memorable layout, with the front nine particularly strong and engaging.

“La Mer”, sang the French crooner Charles Trenet, and I was humming my favourite karaoke tune as we played around Le Touquet’s namesake.

Amazing course to play despite having the last Par 5 under repair.

Driving 2 minutes through the leafy roads of the surrounding town to the golf course, its hard to imagine that 3 courses would be so closely located, but it makes for an ideal destination for those who like variety away from the links.

Recently La Mer has undergone additional refurbishment due to problems with the original work not meeting the standards laid down by an environmental judgement.

A very well layed out course, also very tricky, long with minimal forgiveness either side of the fairway.

La Mer at Golf Du Touquet is a gem, enjoyable and difficult in equal measure.

Played on the way to Calais - highly recommend a stop in Le Touquet and an early game at Le Mer!
