Legends Golf Club
Built within a large, lake-laden property that lies between Prior Lake and Lakeville, the course at Legends Golf Club weaves its way around a number of menacing water hazards. All told, there are fifty acres of water and twenty acres of wetland areas in play, affecting thirteen holes in total.
More than a million cubic yards of earth was moved during construction, with three hundred mature trees (between 20 and 30 feet in height) planted at strategic positions around the layout, and a “stadium” design style ensures adequate hole separation throughout the layout.
The four par three holes are particularly challenging as each of them demands a heroic tee shot. A gully between tee and green on the 5th and a wetland area at the 7th mandates a forced carry on these two holes then water on the 13th and 17th demands the same all-or-nothing strategy on the back nine.
