Lighthouse Golf Course is designed by the famous ex-Ryder Cup Captain - Ian Woosnam. The championship golf course is of a “links” design. Was played three times and one of them at 2019 Cape Kaliakra Open. Condition and maintence bit higher average. Nothing special, bit boring and predictable course. Flat terrain, classical links golf course, wide fairways and with greens, often exceeding the regular sizes. The whole design gives golf player a maximum of the chance for a good round at golf course, where the wind is often a significant factor. It‘s not very challenging golf course except few holes. Back nine is more interesting than first half of golf course.
Clubhouse has big Pro Shop, offers over 200 sq. m. of golf apparel and equipment. No bad restaurant with tasty food and cold beer...range is enought.
Concerning prices it is bit cheaper than at other Cape Kaliakra golf courses, but at all is overprised. Service is average, buggies could be renew. Actually buggy is not nessesary here regarding flat fields, but in a hot day it helps to hide from sun. Fields condition was average, greens slow and fairways could be maintained better. Fairways are wide for long drives, but you must avoid lot of bunkers around.
As every golf course rating is always a subject with a lot of subjectivity, depending on various criteria and personal point of view to importance things, my personal opinion depends on following criteria: course complexity or challenging, fields condition (especially greens & fairways), service (only what you can get: buggie, club rent, condition of clubs, the amount of choice and etc. except staff and other subjective things that depends on your or staff mood), surrounding views or pleasure to the eyes and definitely value for the price. All criteries will be rating from 1 to 5 stars. My priority is challenging and value for price criterias. Lighthouse Golf Course gets:
1. Challenging - 3*
2. Condition - 3*+
3. Service - 3*
4. Surroundings - 3*+
5. Value for the price - 3*+
Definitelly will be back next year for tourment. This is the main reason...
