A warm welcome awaits at Liphook and this is a very enjoyable course to play. Earlier reviews use the words pretty, short, quaint and hospitable - are all are quite correct. I played in March and obviously the course will look less than perfect in the early months but I had a great time and will return in June to see the perfect conditions. Only one hole for me felt a little strange and that was the par-4 9th – the approach to the green is blind even for the longest of hitters and that brings in just too much luck for me, maybe after playing it a few times it gets easier. The final four holes are great fun to play, especially the 15th and 16th. Again, similar to other comments the par-5’s are maybe a touch short but that is only a minor point to a very good golf course. The team at Liphook are working hard to maintain and improve things further, which is great to see … just one request from me…the 10th green is crying out for a bunker front right.
