Loomis Trail

The small border town of Blaine is the most northerly point on the Interstate 5 (I-5) highway that runs all of 1,381 miles from the Mexican border at San Ysidro in California to the International Boundary separating the United States from Canada in Washington.

The course at Loomis Trail lies just to the south of Blaine, next to Semiahmoo Bay. It was one of two 18-hole courses operated by the Semiahmoo Resort until 2018 when it was purchased by the Lummi Indian Business Council. Loomis Trail is a fairly flat layout, with water and wetland areas coming into play on every single hole.

The degree of difficulty of this tough track is right up there with the stiffest tests in the state when it’s tackled from the back tees so don’t expect a walk in the park if that’s what you think will follow after teeing it up on the 1st hole at this resort course.

The 462-yard 7th and 472-yard 17th are easily the longest and most difficult of the par four holes here, whilst the right doglegged 2nd and left doglegged 11th are probably the pick of the par five holes on the card.

Loomis Trail is open to the public while nearby Semiahmoo is restricted to members and resort guests only.
