The golf course of Manchester Golf Club has moved a couple of times during its history but for well over 100 years, it has resided on this site, crafted at the hands of one H.

A prominent feature of the site on which the Manchester Golf Club is built is a valley with a fast flowing creek running the length of its base.

Played first game out (7:00 am) this Easter Monday as a solo and really appreciated having the course to myself, got round in 3 hours, playing from the whites.

Its a rather small matter to a certain degree whether MGC should get a 4 1/2 or 5 star rating, but the fact myself and my playing partner have been discussing this very point shows that the course, whatever the rating, is a good course and I would recommend one takes the time to play when passing by along the M62.
The latest ranking of the Top 100 Golf Courses in the World serves as the ultimate global golf bucket list. Most members of our World Top 100 Panel are seasoned golfers, each playing 20-30 of these courses annually while travelling extensively over decades to form their opinions on others. We recognise that opinions vary—even among our panel members. Rankings are subjective, and there are undoubtedly 50 or more courses in the UK and USA alone that could easily fit onto this list.
