Nowadays, the layout extends to 6,444 yards from the back markers, playing to a par of 72 (36 out then 36 in), with holes laid out as two returning nines, both of which start and finish with a par five.
Highlight holes include the first (and shortest) of the par threes at the 149-yard 2nd (which plays to a green surrounded by three large bunkers), and the bunker-free par four 4th (rated stroke index 1) where the fairway slopes markedly from right to left.
On the back nine, the downhill, par four 15th is another tough hole (rated stroke index 2), while the long par five 18th features a series of bunkers on the inside of the right doglegging fairway as it narrows towards the home green.
