Review for Mendip

Reviewer Score:

Green and lush downland turf this year instead of its often firey temper of yore, fast slippery greens ,and now abundant woods that have matured over the last twenty years drawing the course in from the open aspect it once had. On balmy days the greens are its only real defence, but when the wind blows - beware. Three new holes 12-14 and a changed layout have improved the test while keeping the best of the old course.Fun for the lions and the rabbits - worth a return visit and very good value. Last two feature holes can change a match around with birdie eagle finish. Views magnificent.
