Miramar Links
The Buenos Aires Great Southern Railway arrived in Miramar in 1911 and it was that company which subsequently built a hotel and golf course outside the city, engaging a couple of Jersey golf professionals (Aubrey and Percy Boomer) to lay out an 18-hole course on a 150-acre sandy-soiled site next to the Atlantic coastline.
Today, the course measures 6,335 yards from the back markers, playing to a par of 73, with back-to-back par fives at the 5th and 6th. Holes are arranged as two returning nines, both of which conclude in front of a clubhouse located close to the Interbalnearia Route 11 highway in the southeast corner of the coastal property.
Highlight holes include the long par four 1st (rated stroke index 1 so a tough start here) with out of bounds to the right of the fairway; the heavily bunkered par three 7th (positioned close to the main road); the longest of the par fives at the 15th (featuring a large bunker immediately in front of the green); and the slightly right doglegging 18th which plays to a lightly bunkered home green.

World Top 100 Golf Courses
The latest ranking of the Top 100 Golf Courses in the World serves as the ultimate global golf bucket list. Most members of our World Top 100 Panel are seasoned golfers, each playing 20-30 of these courses annually while travelling extensively over decades to form their opinions on others. We recognise that opinions vary—even among our panel members. Rankings are subjective, and there are undoubtedly 50 or more courses in the UK and USA alone that could easily fit onto this list.
